Do I have ADHD or what?

I have looked up ADHD and read about it on multiple websites. I do exhibit quite a few of the symptoms, but at the same time, I wonder. What is the difference between ADHD and plain laziness/procrastination? Is there a difference, or is it a pseudo-disorder for slackers? I've been called both lazy and ADHD, distracted and a procrastinator. Do I actually have something wrong with me, or do I just need to suck it up and try to work harder?

If anybody really thinks they know, please let me know.
Because for the past 6 months I've been caught between taking responsibility for not getting work done, and saying, well, maybe there is actually something not all right here.

Personally, I sometimes wonder if there's such thing as people with ADD and ADHD at all. Or maybe all of us have a little of it but in different levels. Everyone is using that as an "excuse" lately and it makes me so annoyed. I say suck it up and try harder.

Personally I don't believe in laziness. I believe we can be unmotivated and/or a have established habits that lead to procrastination and other self destructive behaviors. There a book on ADHD called, "You Mean I'm Not Lazy, Crazy or Stupid?" Sounds like you might want to check it out. But, yes you should get evaluated by a person trained to evaluate for ADHD and related conditions. At the same time, it matters less what you're labeled and more which behaviors you want to start or start or what patterns you wish to change. Then get others to give you suggestions on ways to achieve those things.

See section 26, on procrastination, and laziness, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris Take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, daily: (certified free of mercury) it is best if consumed with an antioxidant, such as an orange, or grapefruit, or their FRESHLY SQUEEZED juice. If vitamin E is added, it should be certified as being 100% from natural sources, or it may be synthetic: avoid it. ADHD is addressed in sections 22 - 25.

One theory, which I think fits the facts, postulates that, long ago, we needed to be very active to survive, and males especially were selected for this trait, evolutionarily. Today, educators require children & youths to sit quietly for long periods, focus, and behave correctly. Not being able to beat them with sticks, anymore, (how well I remember "6 of the best" strokes of the cane on my rear end, bending over, by "Spud" Murphy - Oh well - I deserved it!) they now resort to drugging them up with powerful, and addictive central nervous system stimulants.

When their parent's insurance coverage lapses, due to age restrictions, a lot of the users turn to street drugs, with all the unfortunate consequences involved. In the opinion of many, this is a social time bomb, which is ready to go off soon.
