Diagnosed ADHD, what now? 70 out of 100 means worse case, i scored 89 :(?

i have done loads of online tests and every sinlge one says i have ADHD, the latest said that you will score 70+ if you have adult ADHD (worse case) i scored 89.
what should i do, i would never take the drugs for it as am now 20, its who i am. i just want closure if i definately have it or not.

The best thing to do is be absolutely sure before you start to worry about how to treat it. However, there is a ton of poor information out there and that includes the medical profession and many counselors.

ADD is a specialty and I would really suggest that you make sure the therapist is one. Do some interviewing at least by phone. Ask them or the secretary if they are an expert and if they follow Dr. Amen or Dr. Hallowell.

Usually the treatment is a mild stimulant and although they have a horrible reputation in my experience if the medication management is handled correctly it is very beneficial with few side effects if any. There is also now a natural alternative that really works called ADD-care.

Good luck. Jef

i was diagnosed with it too, go to a therapist or someone who specializes in that and they will tell you for sure. You don't have to take medication for it. The lady who diagnosed me with it didn't even recommend i take it, she doesnt believe in it. But if you do take meds you dont have to take them everyday. I just wanted to take it so i can concentrate in school and since ive been taking it my grade has gotten alot better.

Its something a doctor of some sort would have to tell you, you cant go by anything the internet says.

Online tests are not valid. Test publishers would not make money if they allowed their tests to be published online. Not to mention that it is an ethical violation. Psychologists keep their tests pretty inaccessible to the public, for both monetary and validity reasons.
You need to be evaluated by a professional.
