Adhd/ adderall xr 10 mg pill?

well, im still kinda scared to talk to my aunt about how im feeling and that i might have adhd. (im afraid she will laugh at me)
well, anyway, i was talking to this with my cousin (who does have adhd) and she said i might be.

she gave me a few of her adderall xr(10mg) and told me to take it in the morning before school.

well, i dont know how much to take, or what the side effects will be.

please help me with this.

if you have adhd and are on adderall xr, please tell me what you think the proper dosage would be for an 18 years old. ( i took one of them (10mg) and it didnt seem to do much good. i still wasnt able to pay attention to stuff.) do i need more? how much?

( i dont want to take too much of it becuse i dont know if i'll pass out during school or something like that, and if i pass out, they will test my blood or something, and they will tell my dad i took too much adderall, then he will get pissed because he will think im some sort of drug head,... and im not a drug head......oh...sorry for the crazy rant..its just the inner me coming out ha ha )

Adderall is also used for other conditions, not just ADHD. You should never take a prescription drug that is not meant for you. Everyone reacts differently to medications and what helps one, may harm another. Talk to your aunt, or another adult if she doesn't take you seriously. You may not have ADHD and something else could be going on that causes the same symptoms. It's better to be safe and get it checked out rather than popping someone else's meds.

You really should play it safe and speak with your physician.!!

I used to give some to my child and one of the many side effects was suicide, my daughter was ready to jump out of the second story of our house, Really do some extensive research on any forms of medications, and most of all, talk with your family, if your aunt is understanding, this should not be a laughing matter

NEVER take some ones medication!! That being said, my 17 year old son did the same thing you did. We discussed this together and I made an appointment with his DR. We, as a team talked it over and decided to go ahead and prescribe it for him. His grades since has vastly improved. More kids are being diagnosed at an older age theses days as havinAD HD. He was only having problems focusing in school.
Go ahead and tell your Aunt, heck your 18, you can make your own appointment if she won't help you.
