Military Pilot and Adhd?

Are there any pilots that get waivers or should i just go infantry? ive been of medication for 2 years now and if i went army i would be off it for 10 before i became a warrant officer, because i would want to enlist first

Sorry, i meant to say off medication for 2 years, keyboard is screwed up. Any of the branches though, including coast guard , etc. is it possible to waiver?

infantry is cool, if you like shooting, kicking in doors, blowing stuff up, awaiting in an ambush postion.

ADD/ADHD
Under the old standards, any history of ADD or ADHD was disqualifying. While waivers were sometimes possible, they were among the hardest categories of waivers to get approved. Under the new standards, ADD/ADHD is disqualifying only if the applicant has been treated with ADD/ADHD medication within the previous year and/or they display signs of ADD/ADHD. For applicants with a previous history of ADD/ADHD who have been off medication for more than one year, and they do no demonstrate significant impulsivity or inattention during MEPS processing, the MEPS examining official may find them qualified for military service without submission of a waiver.

Records review is still required. Any history of being evaluated or treated for ADD/ADHD must be documented. As a minimum, all treatment (if any) within the previous three years must be submitted to MEPS, in advance, as part of the medical pre-screening. Full medical records are required if the applicant was ever treated for ADD or ADHD with any medication other than Ritalin, Adderal, or Dexedrine, or if there were any additional psychiatric symptoms, such as, but not limited to, depression.

MEPS may require school transcripts to demonstrate acceptable academic performance for the year without medication. If treatment for ADD/ADHD occurred throughout the school environment, but wasn鈥檛 stopped until after the applicant left school, there is still the possibility of waiver consideration.

Lying to Get Into the Military is a Felony
Let's get straight to the point. Knowingly giving false information or withholding required information on any recruiting form is a criminal offense (When the information would have made an individual ineligible to enlist, or would have required a waiver to enlist). It's not a misdemenor, it's not the same as getting a speeding ticket. It's a felony offense, punishable by a $10,000 fine and three years in prison. If you lie to get into the military, you are committing a felony. It's that simple. If you get away with it long enough to actually enlist, and are caught later, it's also a "military offense." You can be prosecuted for a violation of Article 83 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), which states:

"Any person who--

(1) procures his own enlistment or appointment in the armed forces by knowingly false representation or deliberate concealment as to his qualifications for that enlistment or appointment and receives pay or allowances thereunder; or

(2) procures his own separation from the armed forces by knowingly false representation or deliberate concealment as to his eligibility for that separation; shall be punished as a court-martial may direct."

Yes.Military pilots get prescription drugs that contain cocaine. Some anti-depressants and psychotropic drugs for ADHD can also be prescribed to any military personnel suffering from this psychological disorder. Take advantage of your current health care provider because they are available for you. They want you to be able to maximize your performance.

Some flight crew jobs usually require a top secret clearance and with your condition, you may have a problem.

military pilots take speed anyway, you might fit right in.
