2 of my kids have adhd and ?

i think my 11 year old and my 7 year old also had it. my 11 year is hyper and he gets in trouble for things he didn't mean to do. like make farting nosies, even after been told to stop. he has trouble listing to what people say. my 7 year old is hyper 24/7. could they also have adhd /

if two of your kids have adhd, then
there is a strong chance that your 11 and 7
year old have it too.
plus, if either you or your spouse have adhd,
your children have a higher potential for
adhd.
and your other two children have it, so they
more than likely have it.

So I have a good friend with 3 kids and 2 have ADHD according to their doctor. Those kids are really well behaved and people are always asking her how she does it. Well, she spanks them when they misbehave. I know lots of people don't believe it that, but she said that she can bring them to movies and to peoples houses and they are very very good. She also spends about a half hour a day with them teaching them to meditate. I guess it gets them to calm down and teach themselves how to calm themselves down.

Have your children been diagnosed by a professional? And you probably need some family therapy/counseling if all this is going on.
Do they play sports? that's a great outlet for energetic kids. You should get with a therapist and work on some behavior change strategies if you have not already. That is a lot going on in one household and it's alarming that you think both children have it. One may be simply acting out in reaction to the other one.
They may not actually have ADHD, and even if they do, it's pretty treatable with good behavioral strategies. I don't recommend meds but it's up to you.

Oh, and how in the world do you have time to be on yahoo answers with all that going on?

From experience it is a possibility, but don't take rash actions and most importantly do not jump to medicines till you know they are the right choice. I was put on medicine of suspected ADHD and it ended up being Anxiety. I jumped from med to med only to be ruined by it. Try alternative treatments before looking for medicines. Being hyper isn't always ADHD. Also if your 11 year old takes medicine ask him how he feels on it and report these symptoms to a doctor. If he/she is uncomfortable with taking medicine don't force him/her.

yea its very possible but don't worry i am a Police officer and i had adhd. just let your kids live leave them be hyper kids may seem like they are not listing nor they are paying any attention but you will be amazed when hes doing the fart noises hes testing the bounders and seeing the consequences of hes actions later on he will understand that its not worth it. don't worry to much on it just let kids be kids. also at lest you don't got to worry about your kids being fat..put them in hockey, basketball something to help them use all that extra energy.

They could. I was in 4th grade When my mom, Dr. and teachers discovered that I had ADHD. I could not concentrate in school without medication...I was so hyper outside of school too. In 7th grade I started on Adderall...I think it was pretty new then...After I graduated high school and went to college I started having heart problems. I did a lot of research and found some Canadian reports on adderall and how the effects of it are horrible. So I'm just trying to let you know that the drugs for ADHD are not good. They could never connect my heart problems with the adderall but I think it had a connection. Also, Adderall is an appetite suppressant and in 11th grade, age 17, height-5'6 I was 111lbs!!! I didn't eat breakfast or lunch, only a small dinner. I would never recommend the drug to anyone.

Oh yeah and my dad things my little brother (age 9 -I know, he's a lot younger!) may have adhd now.

I have just read a book titled ; "Hypothyroid Type 2, The Epidemic"
by Dr. Mark Starr MD.

He states that he has successfully treated children with ADD/ ADHD by correcting thyroid imbalances.

I can relate to that, as Hypothyroid and ADD/ADHD run in our family.

I am currently receiving hypothyroid treatment, and was not doing really well. After reading Dr. Starr's book, I now know why. -- I have type 2 hypothyroid.

The following is from his book.

.........................................
Type 1 Hypothyroidism is defined as failure of the thyroid gland to produce sufficient amounts of thyroid hormones necessary to maintain "normal" blood levels of those hormones and "normal" blood levels of the thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) produced by the pituitary gland. The TSH test is the standard blood test your doctor checks when looking for hypothyroidism. Around 7% of Americans suffer Type 1 hypothyroidism.

Type 2 Hypothyroidism is defined as peripheral resistance to thyroid hormones at the cellular level. It is not due to a lack of adequate thyroid hormones. Normal amounts of thyroid hormones and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) are detected by the blood tests; therefore, BLOOD TESTS DO NOT DETECT TYPE 2 HYPOTHYROIDISM!

Type 2 hypothyroidism is usually inherited. However, environmental toxins may also cause or exacerbate the problem. The pervasiveness of Type 2 hypothyroidism has yet to be recognized by mainstream medicine but is already in epidemic proportions.

Ways to detect it are listed in the book. .

ADHD is a scam, all these diagonsis recently of it, it's all BS if you ask me. Back in my day, the kids who had a lot of energy would just run around outside for a while and work that energy out. Now adays were drugging these kids up, so they will calm down, but its not right. Kids are hyper, its what they do. You gotta let them work it out of there systems.

and the question is....? lol, if youre looking for help on controlling it, then a doctor could perscribe ritilin, if you dont beleive in medication, then enroll them in sports or martial arts classes, it will give them a constructive outlet for all of that energy, plus, by the time they come home after their sport or other activity, they will be tired, and sore, and wishing to just go to bed =D

ADHD is a MYTH!
its an excuse for parents to put there bratty kids on drugs so parenting is easier cuz there too lazy too deal with their own kids themselves, so when there dumb kid spazzes out und acts rude your response is, " sorry, my kid has ADHD"

crack the whip on your kids, Dude.

hmm, by brother was diagonised with ADD
i dont belive kids are that hyper
when i was 7 i was very hyper

probably

Yes.

in this day and age people are so quick to medicate just let them be kids

maybe he's smuggling red bull into his drink.
