Who use Herb abstract for ADHD kids?

My son is 5 and in the process of waiting for a apt Feb 25,2009 for meds.
I'm at my wits end with the boy. Its there something else like some kinda Herb abstract that I can give him to calm him down a bit.
He doesn't drink soda or eat sugar and I don't give him sugar free stuff either.

i have adhd and i have found that smoking weed 5 times a week helps academically and socialy. it helps to calm me down to. he will still want to drink a lot of soda and kool-aid but he will not act hyper.

chamomile tea should calm him down. I had ADHD as a child and my parents refused to give me meds...they made me play sports year-round so that way i could expend all my energy into that. Try wrestling, it is in season now, and I started wrestling when i was 5. its a good sport and requires massive amounts of energy....and who knows, if he sticks with it, it may get him into college one day for free! It worked for me!

My friend with an ADHD boy tried a gluten free diet that seemed to help for a while, you may want to give it a shot until you get to the doc.

I have heard that Omega 3 fatty acids help. Give him a fish oil supliment.
