My parents dont believe i have adhd?

i found out about adhd when i searched daydreaming here in yahooanswers. i found out about its symptoms and is very similar to how i acted, some people admitted they have it so I thought it was ok to say my issues, so that i can solve my attitude problems right away.

so after i read farther information at wiki. i took a adhd test ,and said yes to focusing problem, daydreaming or drifting away absent minded blank stares, fidgetting, hearing people cleary but cannot analyze what they are telling me, fidgets when nervous or when around people negative thinker, disorganized, always worried not fully awake and saying something then regretting them

i called my mom, let her see the adhd quiz which i answered and the symptoms aswell. so now she is telling me that people are like that, and that i shouldn't take it seriously, i should leave it and concentrate. its nothing.
she didnt even considering my childhood. i told her my dad would always tell me that i drifted away, i had low grades with maths and the other subject, i also told her that a teacher of mine when i was a grader told me that i always looked blankly at him whenever he talked at me. lots of things had happen before but she didnt consider, since i was younger i was aware of this which was why i was a lonner.
so now tell me was my mom ryt?

how to diagnose it myself, who to talk to?

I am 31 and just found out that I have this. It is a real issue to deal with. When I found out it made a world of difference, I am just figuring out ways to incorporate it into my life, knowing what it is. There are alot of pros to this! Talk to a teacher or counselor or another family member. It is real don't let it go untreated. There are options.

i think you are right, not your mom
