I want to know if i have ADHD and/or ADD; I wanted somebody who has to tell me what they think.? |
I am 14 years old. Last year i got in trouble with the law and had to take a psychological evaluation test. They said they think i should get tested for ADHD and/or ADD, we blew it off not thinking i needed it. Now that im older i wan to know, i have tried some drugs on it like concerta and it helped tremendously. I'm going to have my dad set up an appointment for the doctor. My mom thinks its a great i idea and i have talked to her about it and she say's if i think it will help i shoudl get prescribed. My parents are divorced adnd i just revently moved to my dads because i was having problems with other things up there, my dad dont think i need it but i havent lived with him for more than about 1-2 months. I am always fidgeting or at least moving in some way. I always have trouble starting anything that has to do with school or that requires to pay attention for a long period of time. I have extreme problems with starting or reading somthing that doesnt extremely interst me. and many more things.... and when i do go to the doctor how should i appoach him about it? I have ADHD and i use the Concerta Patch. Go get tested. I have ADHD. I got into trouble and was tested in 2nd grade. I take Adderall XR every day and it helps me foucse and keep outa trouble. you will feel better if you get medication and use it the way the doctor prscribes. I'm not a doctor. But you might want to tell yours when you see them about the fact that before you were told you should be tested for ADHD, and now you want to be tested for it. I can't tell you whether you have it or not.. But I would look up the symptoms for it online. Don't research too far into it though, self diagnosing yourself is never a good thing. I doubt my own ADHD sometimes. I would be careful though.. Just because Concerta worked doesn't mean you have ADHD, I have heard that it helps focus and hyperactivity in everyone |

I have ADHD and i use the Concerta Patch. I think that you should get tested -- if the Concerta medicine really did affect you greatly, then there is a high chance that you have ADHD. hope...
