I suffer from ADHD OCD depression and an eating disorder? |
and i really don't know what to do with myself really weird things tick me off like people eating and pens clicking and other people typing on a keyboard? i also hurt myself without control [poking myself pulling my hair picking my nails till they bleed] my mental heath doctor has put me on everything and i still do all of this and i just cant handle myself anymore. i also don't like people looking at me. and i always have to have my hat on. what can i do to stop some of this crap? I do Sahaja Yoga. And I know it helps ADHD, depression. You can do it online free of charge http://www.freemeditation.ca/workshop/ Please do not be offended, but look the book up called, "Allergies and the Hyperactive Child", by Dr. Doris Rapp. This book could simply interchangably use the word 'Person" for the word child, but that is how it was published. The information may intrugue you. You can pick this book up for only $1.00 to $3.00 on used booksites and it is packed with information. I hope it helps you. I think it might. The problem with ADHD is that the people are very sensitive to most stimuli, whether it is noise, irritations, people talking, and other things. I think if you read the book you may understand things a little better. because i have dealt with similar symptoms, (people eating, pens clicking, oh my god sometimes i want to scream! ) i can say that even if it sounds strange, yoga and deep breathing are the only thing that have kept me sane! that said, i DO avoid situations i know for sure will drive me crazy. for example i don't go to the movie theatre very often, and if i do i go during the week when few people will be there. sometimes curing a problem is finding out ways to adapt life to fit, because we can't change all of our weaknesses! Just try not to take things too seriously. Just try to accept the idea that there will always be things that are annoying or troublesome, and dont focus on them too much. Life is full of hassles, but try to focus you attention and energy on things that you enjoy, like music or exercise or cooking for example. Just remember that there are alot of good things in the world, pick a few that you like, and choose to be involved with them. Right now is the perfect opportunity to try something new that you have always wanted to. Your going to be fine! meds and therapy to help with OCD. gl |
