"battered woman syndrome" and ADHD.?

I realise ADHD has no actual diagnosis, but I'm wondering if there is a legitimate diagnosis for 'battered woman syndrome'?

Having looked up 'syndrome', I see it requires confirmation of a 'pattern' - as oppose just 'reported symptoms'.

To my knowledge - and I'm always willing to learn more - there is only reported symptoms for BWS, but not definite proof of anything more.

As research is confirming what counter and none feminists have been saying for decades, contrary to what feminists have been claiming, that men can and ARE being abused in similar numbers to women.

So, as feminism is for 'equality' (LOL) - will they soon be coming to the defense of men who murder their woman in 'self defsense' and claiming "battered husband syndrome" - or, more likely, will they play it as a woman-only problem, like they have to date?

Laura S - No, it doesn't... that's why so many boys are just handed ritalino's like they're candy... it helps to feminize boys :o(

Should probably be called battered spouse syndrome.
And not to condone those who kill their batterers but people can only take so much before going off the deep end.
And those who say there's always the option to "just leave" don't really have a full grasp on what levels a batterer will go to in order to regain control or fear of their victim.
It's in the "just leaving" that they're most susceptible to being killed themselves, so yeah..I believe such a thing exists. I also think it's overused as an excuse and should only be allowed in EXTREME cases.

You're right. It's a feminist conspiracy.

They want to abuse and oppress you and want you to go untreated, unless the treatment emasculates you.

The research into it was shut down in the 70s because it was seen as tantamount to victim blaming.... no prizes for guessing which lovely group shut down the research.

I now this is irrelevant, but how does ADHA not have an actual diagnosis?

It DOES have a diagnosis. There is diagnostic criteria. More and more children( not necessarily boys) are given it because they aren't seeing actual psychiatrists. It's the same reason regular M.D's are handing out anti-depressants like they're candy. However, there are a lot more children that are ADD and ADHD because of current lifestyles of Americans. Seriously. There is a diagnosis, but it's not done by the correct professional.

Very good point you make here that illustrates very well some of the BS feminists are feeding to the world.
Most people know that feminism has nothing to do with equality. There is even a law in Norway that states that 40% of board members of companies have to be women. Where is the equality in this? Doesn麓t competence have anything to do with this?
I saw an article some years ago (wish I could link to it now but don麓t know where it is) that stated that men and women initiate domestic violence equally but for obvious reasons the outcome is pretty much a one way street.
Most people also know that the right of divorced fathers to see their kids has nothing to do with equality. Has anyone heard of feminists fighting for the right of kids to spend about equal time with both parents?
So, keeping this and more in mind I think that what you ask about might happen when it freezes in hell.

Marx, if you ever have a moment and enter voluntarily a shelter for abused women, not only would you see how an abused woman looks like, but you could also understand very easily, the trauma of physical and verbal abuse in person. I do not believe in violence of any kind. Be it in a relationship or outside of it. Violence is wrong - period. I don't care if women abuse or men, no one has the right to put a finger on anyone else. It is not only a "woman's problem anymore" to be beaten. I have also seen men and trust me, the pain and agony both sexes go through, is tremendous. We are in 2009 and "feminism" is NOT ABOUT trashing around what many courageous women fought for, 100 years ago.
