I think i might have ADHD. Do I?

I looked on Wikipedia, and i have most of the symptoms - having trouble paying attention, etc. But it said that you're only diagnosed before the age of 7. My mum says it's not ADHD, and that i just need to pay more attention, but i'm really worried. Help!

try this :-)

ADHD in all honesty is caused from four things, boredom, lack of responsibility, lack of structure, and lack of exercise physical and mental.

Make the things you are doing more appealing by seeing them not as a chore or task, but as challenge to overcome.

Quit passing the buck on things and take responsibility for your actions. Usually this is up to the parents to instill, but you can take control of this too by simply doing household chores, before you let yourself play video games for instance.

Structure your days into smaller segments giving yourself a task to perform at various times of the day. Stick to the time frames you set for each task.

Exercise more, from walking around the block once a day to full on weight training.

Try those things and see if your attention span gets way better.

What they mean is that you cant be diagnosed unless problems have been present since before age 7. You can be diagnosed at any age but it must be becasuse you have dealt with these problems your whole life, it does not appear at a later age.

there is such a thing as adult-ADHD
i would look that up
and this however is not true
i never had ADHD but i was tested at the age or 10
not before 7
maybe you should get tested
because there truely is a chance.

try going to a doctor or if you want to self medicate try focusing on one thing for as long as you can and maybe you'll break the habit

THat's not true, you can be diagnosed at any age.

adhd is over diagnosed.....be careful to jumping into the adhd wagon....those meds are not good.....try to calm yourself down and FOCUS

you're just stupid. don't blame the disorder. take some responsibility

Go to your doctor, they do tests to see if you could possibly have it.
