Evaluations for ADHD/PDD? |
I have a question regarding the DSM 4 requirements for an accurate diagnosis of ADHD/PDD on a 4 year old child with severe developmental/fine motor delays. These diagnoses do not technically require any formal testing whatsoever. In fact, such diagnoses are often applied with little more than a diagnostic interview with the parents and child. In many cases, it boils down to a clinical judgment call. I can't really answer your question, but be wary of any "results" that you may get. We had testing done on our son at that age and was told that since he did not answer any questions, then nothing was wrong. Where is the logic in that. My son was not actually diagnosed until he was 11 years old. (William's Syndrome) yea idk A belt fixed my ADD issue! |
