Why do they tell people with ADD/ADHD to avoid caffeine and sugar? |
How do these things affect someone with ADHD? These products are known for getting people hyped up and people with add/adhd are hyper enough. So they try not to ingest to much of it. It would have an adverse affect on them and defeat the purpose of the meds. Caffeine is good for anxiety attacks - ADHD medicine is a stimulant. If someone is hyperactive the last thing they need is a stimulant. The probably tell them that because they are already hyper, however if you call Rite-Aid and ask to speak with a Pharmacist..........they would be happy 2 give u the answer................ |
