Need answers!: Do people with adhd display symptoms of asperger's, such as hand flapping? |
If they do, would they actually have asperger's or not? Hand flapping is not a symptom of ADHD, so it would mean something else. But hand flapping doesn't necessarily mean asperger's. The two disorders do often occur together, though. Keep in mind that both Asperger's and ADHD are both grossly overdiagnosed. The individual would need to be evaluated by a professional in order to know for sure. I have been in therapy for about three years. three years ago i was clinically diagnosed with depression. Two years i was diagnosed with adhd and shortly after with aspergers. I have ADHD and I the only time I flap my hands is when people ask me to because it makes a funny sound when I do it cuz I'm double jointed so my fingers slapp my wrist lol. But I don't think I have aspergers |
