My boyfriend has adhd and i dont know what to do.please read all of my? |
he is OVERLY hyper.so hyper he starts becoming abusive...yesterday he hit me with a hanger.he is just kidding but it really hurts.it is putting a hazard on our relationship.he is 16 and refuses to take medication.help! If he got treated it would help. I don't see such antipathy towards getting treated with other illnesses, including mental illnesses. I have ADHD, depression, and anxiety. Yet, I have never seen such misinformation as I have about ADHD. It's a very real disorder and it's very treatable. Part of the reason your boyfriend hit you has to do with impulsivity. He needs to learn impulse control. Yet he refuses treatment. It's your choice what to do. I'm not going to tell you to stay or to go. But you know, you should realize that he is making a choice and that you are suffering the results of those choices. You should make that abundantly clear to him--that you are suffering because he thinks he doesn't need help. You can't make someone get help if they don't want it unless they are a physical threat to someone or themselves. No he isn't "just kidding." Regardless of what his issues.....He will either get it together or he won't. You don't need to deal with that kind of treatment. If he is abusive....get out of there. u have to get outta this , beginning of an abusive relationship . there is no kiddin in violence |

Ritalin/Adderall usually works within 30 - 45 minutes after taking the first dose. Changes don't take 2 - 4 weeks like other medications. Changes are usually seen much faster than other medi...
