Can anyone help me on treating my son with AdHd? The Natural way?

I do not want to put him on ritalin or addreal.(or anyother drugs.) To many side affects, along with a low percent of deaths.
If you can help that would be great.

Deaths from Adderall and Ritalin??? Are we talking about the same medicine?

Anyways..

These links should help a lot, good luck.

Also I have heard that meditation can help too if you would like to consider that.

More ADHD sufferers die from not taking medication than they do from taking medication.

For those with untreated ADHD the risks are quite high for accident related deaths. Impulsive behaviours leading to deaths. As he gets older this risk increases. Also a life time of untreated ADHD can lead to low self esteem and even suicide.

On the right medication for each child there are very few side effects and in many cases none at all.

Medication is the single most effective form of treatment for ADHD. Many parents have tried behavior therapy and found it does not work when their child is not on medication but does work when they are.

Yes, I think that you should seek help from a chinese herbalist. Getting the body in balance could help.
I believe that there are many children with AdHd diagnosed nowadays.....but really where do children go now days to release energy and run around? There were no such thing as AdHd back many years ago. Fill your son's life with alot of activities. Activities that involve alot of releasing of energy. If your little boy could go to bed exhausted from playing sport or running around - then the AdHd would be under control. He would be exhausted and become more calmer.
Having a healthy outlet is always a good idea.
I have heard stories of children using music as an outlet and being about to express and release with this.
Ensure that he is balanced in a healthy sense by seeing a naturopath.
Do not give up.
I admire your thoughtfulness as to the affects these drugs have on the children. You are a good parent.
My hat goes off to you.
Keep looking for an alternative, experiment with many things, find out what works for your child.
What a lucky boy to have a wonderful mum like you.
I have heard of some people changing the diet of the child, see if this helps.
There are many reasons why children become overactive and as you experiment with different things you will find out what is best for your son.
Start my going backwards and start my feeding him and giving him activities that he had when he did not have the AdHd - start from where it all began.

I was in the same boat with my son, and the natural behvioral methods found in the article below really helped him - with no meds. He is now well-behaved, gets straight A's, and my family has some peace and quiet.

I am "off the charts" when it comes to being ADHD.

Two things I would recommend are weight lifting.
As you ad weight it calms.
The other thing is reading about Ayurveda and balancing vata.
There are also two good books I recommend called "The ultra mind Solution" and "Balance your brain, balance your life".
I hope this helps.

behavior therapy. works better than drugs anyway, just requires more effort. See a child psychologist
