What does a person need to do if they wish to wean themself off ADHD medication?

I'm on Ritalin right now. I've been on medication for years, but I now believe that I would be able to function normally without being on it. I would like to know if there is a good way to wean myself off it. I know its bad to stop all of a sudden, so I need to know how I should approach this.

You may never be able to go off it with out replacing it with something else.

That being said, the something else could be all natural or a medicine.

There is a lot of research on the role cysteine plays in this. There are a few natural forms and one chemical form of it.

You would be best served if you find a MD that works with holistic medicine.

Do some PubMed searches on glutathione, cysteine and ADHD and you will see what is going on. You may not understand all you read. Look at the first sentence and the conclusion at the end.
