I went in looking for a diagnosis of adhd? |
i went to see a phychiatrist looking for a diagnosis of adhd, i got the diagnosis but never got concerta, instead i got risperidone, i was also diagnosed with autism. as i have taken more risperidone i have got better, i take 4mg a day now. i have hallucinated before and have all the classic signs of skitzophrenia but i have never been diagnosed with it. why do you think that is? why would they give me 4mg of risperidone if they didnt think i had it, i also take concertas now but it is starting to make me unwell again, i am in uk Risperdone is an anti psychotic that is commonly prescribed for autism and bipolar in addition to schizophrenia. It has a calming affect on agitation and/or mania. Talk to your doctor next time you see him if you are concerned about being schizophrenic but if I were you I would justbe glad I was feeling better and not worry about adding too many more labels..... |
