About how old does ADHD wear off?

You may never stop being hyper. Some people with ADHD remain like hyperactive toddlers until they are 80-90 yearrs old.

Some people do outgrow it but most dont. About 1 in 5 people with ADHD will out grow the condition completely. This is more common in males than in females. Females usually suffer it their whole lives. If they aare going to outgrow it a slight improvement begins around the age of 12-14 and a complete imporvement usually between 16-25 years old.

Most continue to have most symptoms all their lives. And some even get worse and more hyperactive as adults than they were as kids.

it matters how bad the adhd is. if its not bad, maybe the symptoms are not that noticable as you grow older. if its severe (like mine), the symptoms may not wear off for a while, but its not that hard to live with. u never grow out of it, but the symptoms get more unnoticable over the years. if the adhd is bad enough, you will get medicine. most likely you will get concerta (one that i'm on), methylphenidate (ritalin, but longer-acting), or focalin. there are many more medicines, but thats the only ones i am pretty much familiar with. i u need any questions, email me!!!!

It never do wear off my husband got adhd and it never wore of. He have his ups and down. You got rest of your life no matter what try to do. You need learn how to control that's all it not easy cause my husband can now.

Um it doesn't wear off...you have it your whole life some people are just worse than others but you can teach you brain to control it.

Its a self control thing!!

The age you put them on medicine that works.
