My friend blames everything on ADHD?

Alright my friend has ADHD and i mean it i mean like for example when we have a really hard worksheet in History or Science she complains that it's to hard and i try to help her but she doesn't want it and i know i can help her what should i do?

and yes i know that people who have ADHD have to try harder in school.

Is she taking medication for it? If not, then it's very difficult to help them or get them to concentrate on one thing long enough to make a difference. Unfortunately, you can't help her if she's not willing to help herself.

While ADHD is valid is some cases and can be serious, I think that Docs diagnose it far too much. Kids use it as an excuse to not sit down and do something constructive or that they are "supposed to". Pop them in front of the TV or a video game, and it seems to hold their attention.

If her case is real, you just have to be patient with her and encourage her to finish. Tell her to relax and take some deep breaths. Thats about all you can really do. The rest is up to her and her parents.
