If a girl was raped, could it cause her to have ADHD?

My friend was raped when she was 5. She's 12 now, but she seems to have ADHD and she does. Could it be from being mulested?

You could get any number of psychological trauma form being raped, so it's possible, but not likely. It's probably P.T.S.D., post traumatic stress disorder. this can be cause by anything from a car accident to the most common cause, war. The video beneath me got a dangerous rating by the way. absolutely not. two complete different ballparks. ADHD is a very common disorder, and easily treatable.

No - however, if she has been severely traumatized in her life and she has not dealt with it, she could have post traumatic stress disorder which can take on many symptoms.

Not even close. It could cause her to be jumpy and paranoid but that is not ADHD. ADHD is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Same thing happened to me. She probably has depression which can cause attention issues. Cause things like ADD, and ADHD. She should go see a psychiatrist.

no she ma be a little titchy and disturbed it would be normal to show weird behaivior but no you cnt gt HDHD from getting raped is not contageous

I know for myself as well as a few people over the years I have met...who went through the same thingg...we DO NOT have ADHD because of this!

Everyone nowadays is diagnosed with ADD or ADHD. I think it's because lazy teachers want all their kids drugged so they have an easier job.
