Whats your opinion of adhd and add?

I have read a lot of post on ADHD and ADD what I do not get is why so many people think it is fake. I have lived with it for 24 years. I have been untreated since I was 12. Because they believed then that children out grew it. I have struggled with everyday things. I feel sorry for children who really do have it and who's parents refuse to get them treated. Because school was painful for me without the medication. I could not focus and retain the information. My grades suffered which made school harder.

I can see why both disorders would go untreated, because kids do get squirmy (antsy) and all of that stuff. So doctors just say that they will grow out of it because teens don't fidget in their seats or anything like kids. Plus, no two people display the same symptoms so it makes it even more difficult to pinpoint.

My cousin has ADD and he was on medication, which made him act out. At parties he'd be the loudest because of the effect of the medicine.

Any disorder is bad, and unfortunately they exist and people have them. I have one as well. Dyscalcula. Now, you may think, "What is that?" It's like dyslexia except it deals with math. It's not debilitating, but I do get nervous when going to pay for things. And then some.

But there are people who have it far worse than us.

I didn't even know these ADHD and ADD existed until two years ago, I had a friend who had ADHD. She always in a rush to finish assignments and work. But when she finishes work, she wants to do another work because she'll get bored by sitting for a little bit. She only slept for 4 hours and whenever she wakes up, she does work around the house and stuff. She said her mom had ADHD also
