I can not tell If i am Dyslexic, have ADD or AD HD, or am just plain retarded. Can you help me? I get distracted a lot.. and when i read.. when i have my glasses on.. its like the lines that im readding, go beneath and on top of other lines. And, when i go to tell a story, I can never remember the people i was with, or who said something. so its very difficult. does anyone know a good website to take tests for these?? greatly appriacted!

dyslexic and maybe just plain memory loss. are you depressed also?

Dr. Mel Levine is an expert in the field of learning disabilities who has developed very specific tests to determine where a person's processing skills are breaking down. When the challenging area is identified, it can be treated. Dr. Levine put out a book and a DVD years back which were both called "Misunderstood Minds". The book and DVD explain all about learning disabilities and the tests that can be administered to evaluate a learning disability. Dr. Levine is also responsible for the best ever video about LDs called "The FAT City Workshop". The FAT stands for "frustration", "anxiety", and "tension". That video helps explain to others what it is like to have an LD; a truly remarkable video. You can also go to a place like the Goddard School or Sylvan Learning Center for an evaluation. And, if you are still school age, ask your parents to request an evaluation through your school district's Child Study Team (that way you can probably have it done for free.) GOOD LUCK, there is help so hang in there.

dyslexia is mainly confusion of letters or numbers, they are flipped, moved, etc. with the add and adhd, seeing as you are distraced and not a good memory, you could quite possibly have either of them,

Check out LD Online. They have TONS of resources for you as well as articles. I doubt you are retarded, but you may have a learning disability.

Have a card, or (clear perspex) ruler under the line you are reading, or cut a long, thin slice in a cardboard card, so only one line can be viewed. A previous answer follows: ADD/ADHD is addressed in sections 22 - 25, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris with quizzes. Take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, daily: (certified free of mercury) it is best if consumed with an antioxidant, such as an orange, or grapefruit, or their FRESHLY SQUEEZED juice. If vitamin E is added, it should be certified as being 100% from natural sources, or it may be synthetic: avoid it. They are not quick to act, but are very safe, and non-addictive. At http://www.mercola.com/ * enter "adhd" in the searchbar, and follow the links near the bottom of the webpage. ADHD was unheard of, 25 years ago, and now it is making billions of $ profit for pharmaceutical manufacturers, who spend an AVERAGE of $10,000*, on manipulating doctors in the USA, with rewards, and incentives to prescribe.

There is growing concern about the practice of medicating young people with powerful, and addictive central nervous system stimulants. Later on, when their parent's insurance coverage no longer covers them, due to age restrictions, many go on to abuse street drugs, with all the adverse consequences involved, so avoid them. You could print the results of the quiz, and use them as justification for asking for the Omega 3, or preferably *krill oil, and perhaps the natural remedies, & hypnotherapy. The USA prescribes more of those stimulants than the rest of the world put together. If, despite the above, you still take them, check it first out at: http://www.drugs.com and http://www.rxlist.com/ and http://www.crazymeds.us and http://www.askapatient.com and at least be better informed about the risks than by the limited information risks and side effects in the enclosures, since the manufacturers are only obligated to warn about those effects reported. Many doctors fail to report such effects.

See study, exam tips, and memory improvement in sections 13, & 41, at ezy-build and find your learning style, and adapt. Join, or start study groups. Having a good, or at least, a well ordered memory makes study much easier, and less frustrating, so check out the memory improvement section in some detail. Motivation is addressed in section 28. You could go to the searchbar at http://www.mercola.com and enter: "krill oil". While you are there, enter "nutritional type", and eat more in accordance with yours. Exercise moderately, for 30 - 60 mns, daily. Google: "nootropics".

The supplements, DHEA & Phosphatidyl Serine are some that I have been informed are worth trying. Ginkgo biloba is often recommended, but has mixed reviews, so check the comparative strength, and buy from a health food, or vitamin store; ask what feedback they have been getting, and what else they suggest (write down, and check them out, later, through Google, WebFerret, or your search engine, before buying). If you are one of the 40% of people who are fairly suggestible, you may wish to consider professional hypnotherapy, or http://www.asktheinternettherapist.com -Improving Study Skills CD - MP3 & Concentration and Focus CD - MP3 & Increasing Memory CD - MP3, or at http://www.hypnosisdownloads.com/ enter: "ADHD", & "studying", & "memory improvement" in the searchbar. "Classroom fascination" seems appropriate, in particular.
