Please make suggestions for this thesis!!! ADHD?

For some reason, something is not sitting right with me. Please make suggestions about how I can make this thesis more precise or flow better.

The use of psychostimulants medications, although a relatively common practice, is a very widely debated topic. However, psychostimulant and psychostimualnt-like medications have been found to be not only safe, but generally very effective, convenient, and beneficial in various ways, and should thus be the first method of treatment to be considered when treating a person with ADHD.

You could also include a couple of examples of psychostimulants like Ritalin or something else.

I agree with you and I think in amny cases they are. I have ADHD and was first diagnosed 14 or 15 years ago and the first treatment used was ritalin. This is generally how it is in my country. ADHD is not diagnosed as often in my country as in the USA but generally once you are diagnosed stimulants are prescribed and it works. All other treatments work better once stimulants are prescribed.

I am an adult now and stimulants are the only reason why I can now hold down a job and have a real adult life.
