Is it true that doctors are too stupid to tell the difference betwwen adhd and fasd?

Not sure what stupidity has to do with it. FASD may be the cause of the apparent ADHD, which would be almost impossible to diagnose without the appropriate history.

Can you explain what FASD is? My son was recently diagnosed with ADHD.

Thanks to the other answer given by another person I was able to look up what FASD meant.I am not sure where you think FASD and ADHD have to do with one another. They are completely different.I can assure you that I have never taken more than a sip of champagne at weddings including my own and that is all I ever have had to drink in my life .My son has an attention disorder not a fetal alcohol induced syndrome I never drank while I was pregnant. I do however have an aunt that was born with fetal alcohol syndrome and can also tell you she is mentally challenged to put it nicely. She has the mentality of a 7 year old when she is going on 51years old.My mother also works in a group home for adults where a good percentage of them have this birth defect .To now answer your question ,If your doctor is Truly a doctor as he says he is and graduated from a REAL college than I can assume he would be able to tell the difference. My son looks and acts like any other little boy out there, but had trouble staying focused on the task at hand.He is now taking a medicine to help called concerta and is now getting good grades and stays on one activity for longer periods of time.

Not at all .Doctors are wise. Abbreviating names of diseases is misleading. ADHD also can mean Anti diuretic hormone deficiency. Plummer Vincent syndrome in UK is called Kelly Brown Patterson syndrome in US.
