How will I get financial aid? Please help I cant pay for college.? |
Here is the scoop, I just got accepted to the University of Connecticut yesterday for the spring of 2009. It really did not have to much on financial aid. I get financial aid from the government through grants and loans. My dad has been unemployed this whole year and my makes only like 45k before taxes a year and I make about 8k a year. The government gave me 667 dollars for each semester and my current community college is about 1300 a semester. Do you think the government will pay for almost all of my tuition at the University of Connecticut? I really don't want to take loans out only if I have to. In my fafsa I put UCONN for my school of choice for aid in spring 2009 semester. Please help.. How is my income to much what are you talking about? If its to much why did I get money for a community college? UCONN is like 16x more times the cost of my current school. And my current school gave me half tuition.. its only 2300 a year Call the financial aid office at UCONN and talk to someone there. Loans will definitely be part of your package. FAFSA qualifies you for three things: Pell Grants which your income is too high for, subsidized loans and work study. I don't know if CT has any state grants but you might get that if it does. |
