How many of you actually understand where the term"Kool-Aid" comes from?

Once upon a time, there was a dynamic speaker who seemed to be very welcoming of the downtrodden. He motivated people to follow him where ever he went. They left America and all it stood for. When They were so blindly loyal that they followed him even to death by drinking the poisoned Kool-aid.

So it now stands for people who are loyal to a dynamic leader, even to their own detriment.

Yes, most educated people understand that it is a reference to Jim Jones and his murder of hundreds of his own followers through kool aid laced with deadly poision.

What is interesting is that the same people who use 'kool aid' attacks on us are the ones who repeatedly call Obama 'messiah'...they are the ones who repeatedly parrot GOP talking points, who parrot Rush's 'I want Obama to fail' memo. In fact, if you want to take it one step further, the GOP is the ONLY party who has people following the talking points as literal truth to such a degree that they become convinced that "Obama's gonna take away my guns' or "Obama is gonna bring socialism'....that they go on murderous rampages, killing innocent civilians, police officers, DNC Chairmen, and pastors.

Jim Jones made all his loony tunes followers drink the poison Kool-Aid.
Then they died. He was an insane man with a God complex who moved his cult out the country and became so whacked out on drugs he thought "they" were coming to get him and instructed his followers to kill themselves. He actually did it a few times to test their loyalty I believe but minus the poison of course.

You are correct sir..It is Jones town, where the masses were made to kill themselves with kool-aid laced with poison. And, it has been used by other "cults". Remember a comet Hale Bopp, several years back that some nuts (Heavens Gate in San Diego) thought by killing themselves they would be propelled to the comet, that they thought was a space ship.

Yes I do, And trust me allot of the left and right ringers can follow there ideology "jim Jones" right to there death bed. Hopefully they wont take us independents down with them.
