10 week old infant has dairy allergy...?

A few weeks after coming home, we noticed that my little baby has a horrible rash across his face and that it itched him.

Through the process of elimination and help from the pediatrician, we found out that whenever I would eat any kind of dairy he would break out in a rash.

I've completely cut out eggs, cheese and milk. What can I do to replace those things? I still want him to get calcium from me, but don't know how to go about that.

Help!

Listen people, I am not feeding my infant son milk, cheese or eggs.

I'm saying when I eat them, it causes an allergic reaction in him. I breastfeed my son so whatever I eat is being transferred over to him.

Ever since I stopped eating dairy, the rash on his face has completely disappeared.

I wanted to know what other foods I can eat to make up for the calcium that we are both missing out on.

Geez, I'm not stupid, I know not to give babies any dairy until at least a year old.

And when I spoke to our pediatrician, she said he was having an allergic reaction to something I was eating and to find out what it was.

I don't need a parenting class, I need to find out what foods I can eat to make up for the calcium I'm missing.

I repeated that because some people don't catch certain things the first time they are mention.

Again... NEVER fed my infant son dairy

Hope this site helps...

infants should not have any milk eggs or cheese until 10 months.
that's 10 MONTHS. NOT WEEKS. DAIRY ALLERGIES ARE DANGEROUS FOR BABIES AND WHOMEVER TOLD YOU IT WAS OKAY TO FEED A 10 WEEK OLD DAIRY IS A COMPLETE MORON.
10 MONTHS. YOUR BABY SHOULD BE ON CEREAL AND FORMULA ONLY AT THIS POINT. GO TO YOUR LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT OR PEDIATRICIAN OFFICE AND GET A LIST OF WAYS TO FEED A BABY HEALTHFULLY. OR TAKE A PARENTING CLASS.
raising a baby is crazy and wonderous and nerve wrecking at the same time. I'm sure you are just doing what you think is best but.. this is not best. Calcium at this age comes from formula, or breast milk and calcium fortified baby cereal..

cereals and vegetables
