Question about alzheimer's disease? |
my mother is 43 years old. but i am scared she is getting Alzheimer's. i have been known to be quite paranoid about this kind of thing. i dont really know how to explain what she is doing so i will give an example: today she was talking about prizes and contests and stuff, but she said "yeah, you win those things... um... those winner things." or something like that. my sister said "prize?" and my mom said she thought she was getting alzheimers, in a joking way. then i started thinking about it, and i started getting worried. she doesnt so it very often, maybe a bit more than a normal person. please tell me if you think she should see a doctor or if im just being paranoid! thnxs u!!!! There are many things the medical community understands about Alzheimer's disease and many things it doesn't yet know. For example, it's not clear why some people with Alzheimer's disease experience faster decline than others. Early Alzheimer's diagnosis and treatment may help to slow progression of Alzheimer's symptoms. well you said 43? i'm 43 and i am far from alzheimers but i do have 1/2 hiemerizer i forget half of the stuff , now i have hypothyroid and i had a dangerously low VIT D so my dr sent me to an ENDOCRINOLGIST not likely alzheimers however she needs to see a Dr, she could of had a MINI stroke TIA , do you notice her drooling or looking off droopy? sleepy? now is she diabetic? if its untreated she could be having some serious symptoms? stress anxiety depression are all related is she a Smoker then she could have atheroscleroisis harding of the artheries making her think and react slower, she really needs a check up a complete physical , now if your grandparents have alzheimer in there 60 and 70s then yea it hits you 20 years sooner so that means YOU could show symptoms in your 30s so make sure she sees a dr soon, try increasing her VITAMINES drink v8 splash drink boost stop drinking and smoking now if she has artheritis her medication can be giving her side effects. what do people at work say? i assume she is working and not disabled? |
