Can someone please point me towards new approaches to Alzheimer's disease?

A friend who is living with this, asked me to try and find some positive developments that might help them cope medically, spiritually and mentally.

I thank everyone in advance for answering this one.

Thank you ((Juke Box)) but I dislike chat rooms, please understand, it's just that I am not a fast typist and I find the chat forum not my favourite medium to work in. I like to think and compose ...But with your permission, I will save it for another time.
Thank you for taking the time to answer. It means a lot, especially this time of the early morning.

I am so sorry to hear of your friends struggle I have had the good fortune of working with people with Alzheimer's for years.. I have so much to tell you

It鈥檚 difficult without knowing the facts but basically while there is no cure
There are ways of slowing the progression.. If you have any specific concerns, write me and I can address them. Otherwise the link I鈥檝e given you to the Alzheimer's Association is a great place to start.. They can direct you to services in any area you are in..

Thank you for your concern, Alzheimer's is not an easy road for the person afflicted or those who love them. Just remember people with Alzheimer's are able to perceive much more than people give then credit for and if you show genuine concern and love for the senior they will know your intentions come from the heart.

In my experience, a stimulating social environment filled with children, art and music is the best way to slow the progression. Also If they are living at home, precautions should be made to make sure they can鈥檛 wander or become injured

I do hope this helps, let me know if there is anything else I can do to try to help.

there is hope
