Who is living with a person suffering from Alzheimer's disease?

Please tell about the symptoms that s/he is experiencing.

Hello, earlier symptoms are like this: normally if a person can鈥檛 find the keys, and if he/she routinely put important items in odd places - it is really time to pay attention!

I am living with a person that has dementia. She is in her early 50's she does not work, but still takes care of the home. She does all the shopping for the family, takes care of the pets and assist in caring of her mother. I think the key was getting an early diagnoses and having a good family doctor. The medication (Aricept) and for depression trazidone have greatly improved her life. She still makes mistakes calls her kids by different names, needs list to function through out the day. She is easily confused by to many choices or too much activity around her. We don't know where all this will lead but we are praying that she will stay in this stage for a long time. You can get the help you need from the Alzheimer's Association in your area. They have great counselors that will assist you and your family members to understand this disease. Also there are different types of Alzheimer's. You need to find out the type your loved one has and learn everything you can about it.
