My father has no family history of Alzheimer's disease but my mother's mother had it and I was just wondering if it is dominant or recessive and how much chance do I have of getting it when I am older?

Alzheimer's isn't a hereditary condition... There are rare forms were a mutated gene can make you more likely to develop it but that probably isn't in your family if only one person is known to have it.

The chance of you getting it when you are older is very very low!! And remember with stem cells on the go & all sorts of advances in science over the last few years Alzheimer's may be a thing of the past by the time you are old!!

Don't spend time worrying about something you will probably never get!! x
