Is there ANY POSSIBLE WAY I can get a waiver for asthma so I can join the Army?

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to join the Army but they don't accept people with asthma, so I was wondering if i could get a waiver if at all possible.

Simple tell then you don't have athesma anymore. Then go to the MEPS and get a doctor to say that you don't have athesma anymore. If you do have athesma, and it is bad enough that they can tell you still have it, then you wouldn't want to join. I figure that if you can run two miles per day witout having a real athesma attack, then you are going to be fine. Consider yourself athesma free.

You are looking at getting yourself into some serious **** doing that. Trust me, if you have asthma and go to BCT, it will act up and when it does they will burn you for fraudulent enlistment. Might as well give up on it buddy. No need to cause yourself that kind of trouble Report Abuse

Asthma after your 13th birthday is nonwaivable. If you have it now, as in recently diagnosed by a doctor, then you can't come in unless you hide it and don't need an inhaler. If you are caught hiding it you could be charged with fraudulent enlistment.

the thing even if you "could" get it waiver what would happen if were are running somewhere and you get asthma attack... we would have to wait for you..? it would slow down training just because of you...

chain is only as strong as its weakest link... you would be the weakest link.

yeah right let me get this straight we will be in a conflict fighting Iran and suddenly you will have to stop defending your portion of the battle due to an asthma attack? The Army does not work that way go to college and get a nice safe civilian job

No, and lying about it is extremely serious. It sucks that happened to you, though, but get it out of your head about joining.

You can have them give u a pulmonary test but if you really do have it then I dont see you getting a waiver.

Absolutely not.

Anyone who has had or has asthma after the age of 13 is unable to enlist.

People in this situation are high risk

waivers are NOT authorized for Asthma past your 13th birthday.

Nope again

yes there is...and its to LIE....but if u have a asthma attack at basic, then ur done wit
