What would happen if i used my boyfriends inhaler if i dont have asthma? |
i keep on suddenly getting out of breath, my partner said to use his brown inhaler twice a day and i will feel better soon, im at the doctors on monday to see whats wrong, but what would happen if i use my partners inhaler and dont actually have asthma? Brown inhalers are preventers so they will effectively prevent an attack. Blue inhalers are relievers so they relieve symptoms when they happen. Be careful . not sure about brown one most asthma ones are blue, salbutamol . dilate the airways and make the movement of air in and out easier , They are used for other respiratory problems too, Some inhalers have steroids in to reduce inflammation , and these should not be started and stopped willy nilly . See your doc as soon as you can .. To wait till Monday seems a long time . Inhalers contain stuff like adrenaline, so an increase of this in your body can increase your blood pressure and also your 'fight or flight' reactions which will include agitation and panicking. It is best not to use an inhaler if you have not been prescribed it. you will die a long and painful death/you will be cursed for the rest of your days/nothing it could make your heart race, and precipitate a panic attack. it won't kill you or anything, but it might make you wish you were dead. don't use medications not prescribed for you. They make your heart speed up so don't do it. The RN above has it right. If you use it too much it can have nasty consequences. As she said don't take medications prescibed for someone else. nothing. nothing, it would help. nothing but dont try it it tastes gross |
