Can anyone direct me to some websites that inform me of how Coronary Atherosclerosis is inherited? ?

Family Genetics dictates that how your parents body works, yours will too.

But much of CA comes from diet and lifestyle, which are also typically inherited, but through family habits, not genes.

High probability that with correct diet and lifestyle, it is prevented.

At this time, we have not found any specific gene or allele which consistently shows up abnormal in families with strong heart disease rates.
You best bet is to know your Cardio CRP level, Total Cholesterol, HDL,LDL, Triglycerides and blood pressure.
Depending on your age and current medical problems, the treatment approach could vary alot.

The Cardio CRP is your single best bet at trying to pin down your chances for getting Coronary Heart Disease.
