COULD IT BE BACTERIAL VAGINOSIS AND A YEAST INFECTION AT THE SAME TIME? PLEASE READ.?

I've had discharge for a long time and didn't tell my parents... After I told them they took me to the doctor but it was during my period :/ . But I described the symptoms and the doctor gave me metronidazole ( flagyl ) I used it properly after my period had ended. But now I'm still having discharge but the thing is that it sometimes smells and sometimes it doesn't. Also it sometimes is white cottage cheese looking but sometimes slimy yellowish looking. I can't really go to the doctor again because I dont have insurance. I was wondering if anyone can provide me information on home remedies. And also I would like to know if it could be Bacterial Vaginosis and a yeast infection at the same time. I'm looking foward for answers, thank you.

AND no i am not sexually active.

yes deff you could have both at the same time for a yeast infection drug stores sell medicines to get rid of them...as for bacterial vaginosis you need to see an Obgyn and they give you medicine its like a seven day pill i think and then its gone but on the other had you dnt have to rush to see an Ob for bacterial vaginosis it wont harm you but to get rid of the odor its the only way. i wish you luck and hope you feel better having any infection down there sucks!!!! and all females get them once or if not more in there lives

Yes you can have both at the same time. Antibiotics can give you a yeast infection. I get a yeast infection every time I take antibiotics.

If you have a bacterial infection yogurt will make it worse. Go to the Dr again if the symptoms persist. Go when you can be examined.

There a few things that everyone needs to know about bacterial vaginosis:

A. It's not a STD (sexually transmitted disease).
B. You need to see a physician about it.
C. The main cause of it is vaginal douches.
D. In some cases it can be chronic (antibiotics won't solve it).

If you are sexually active, your partner needs to be treated too. But to help try(this sounds gross, but it works) plain yougert, the cultured kind. Use it down there and put some internally into the vagina( u can use those injectors from the yeast infection kits) the bacteria in the yougert is good bacteria and will eat up the bad stuff. The coolness of it feels great especially if u are itchy. 2 days of this and u will feel great. My dr told me about it cause OTC meds for that burned.

The cottage cheese appearance of the discharge is consistant with yeast

discharge isnt normal?! o crap...
