Is this a sign of bipolar disorder/manic depression?

Every once in awhile I will either get very depressed and cry over small things "literally cry" and/or get angry.

I'm am usually never happy, only on very rare occasion do I feel happy.

Thinking happy doesn't work, I can smile and laugh but not feel happy.

Meds don't work either, some make it worst.

Usually with manic depression, you'll have bursts of euphoria- extreme, intense feelings of happiness. However, you can only have one episode of mania and still be diagnosed with bipolar disorder so it depends. It sounds like you're in a consistent mood, so mood swings seem to be absent. It doesn't sound like bipolar, but I would really encourage you to go talk to a psychiatrist. Especially if you think you have bipolar disorder and think you've been misdiagnosed. They'll take that into consideration.

okay it's a good thing i'm in a health class. Bipolar is were you like lets say happy one time and sad the next. you could have it but i'm not sure. i do plan on being a doctor so yeah.

Hope i helped alittle!

I think that bipolar disorder is when you have severe highs and lows. one day you might be super happy (like euphoric) and the next you may be so depressed that you want to die.

Have you talked with your doctor

not really. bipolars cycle back and forth and normally each phase tends to last a period of time. being depressed alone does not automaticly mean its bipolar
