What are some signs that i might be bipolar disorder? |
I seem to have bad mood swings..and get angry Easy People confuse "mood" with "emotion". If someone goes from happy to sad (emotions), they think they have had a mood swing. Wrong, they had an emotion. Bipolar is not about having having emotions like anger, sadness..... nor is it about changing from one emotion to another really fast. It is about slowly changing moods..... A mood affects everything from your energy level, emotional response (which emotions you experience), sexuality, thought process, self esteem, appetite, whether or not you enjoy activities, etc....... Bipolar is about moving between a really high mood (mania) and a really low mood (depression) every couple of weeks or months. Bipolar disorder is a mental condition that usually involves extreme mood swings. A person with the condition may feel happy and excited at one moment and depressed the next. The disorder was once called manic-depression. Mania is a mental disorder characterized by great excitement and sometimes uncontrolled, violent behavior. Depression (see depressive disorders entry) is characterized by persistent and long-term sadness or despair. Talk to your doctor and they will know just how to help you. You most like do have some sort of disorder and they will pin point it for you!! Sarah be very careful, you can probably take control of your mental health better than anyone. Be careful if you are on medication for depression and anxiety. The anxiety is caused by an underlying stress from your present or your past!. Science is showing you can heal this on your own. Anxiety medication CAUSES DEPRESSION!! in six months so be very careful. Do not go down the road now of bipolar. Take the control back of your mental health there are different types of bipolar. most involve cycling between agitation and depression without regard to the things going on in your life. do you ruminate about things? you might waste hours or days having racing thoughts about negative things like someone who you've been wronged by in the past. you might lash out or say something very upsetting to somebody one day and then spend the next day depressed about having damaged your relationship with that person. the depression is deep and makes it very difficult for you to function. all of this eventually leads you to isolation it's a miserable existence. you should see someone if that sounds familiar. Some symptoms of Bipolar disorder are Please discuss this with your Doctor. Bi Polar, when diagnosed, can be treated, as can other forms of depression and anxiety. good luck. Sarah, one possible clue is the abuse of alcohol. It is very common in bipolar disorder. Definitely go to see a psychiatrist they can help diagnose you and help you get through whatever is wrong.
