Questions about the birth control pill? please help!?

ive been on the pill for over a month and a half. i completed one pack and im a few days shy to the placebo pills in my second pack. they say that the pill is supposed to regulate your period, but im not sure what is going on...when i started the pill everything went fine and i started my period around the placebo pill time. but a few days after i started my second pack, i have been spotting every day and the spotting turned into bleeding almost as much as period blood. im not even at the time of the placebo pills yet, so i shouldnt be having my period yet, but for a couple weeks ive been bleeding. is this just your body getting used to the pill or is something wrong? i have also taken a few pills late but i took them when i remembered. do you bleed when you dont take your pills on time? what could be wrong? i am pretty sure i dont have an std or anything...

That's normal. The hormones may take a while to regulate your cycle and it's normal to have spotting. Wait it out for a couple of months and if it doesn't stop, speak with your doctor.

the most likely cause is your body adjusting, and missing any pills can cause beakthrough bleeding, it is so important to take the pills at the same time every day, or else they are not doing you much good. you should do a web search on the brand name and read more up on those specific ones. if you take them on time every day for a few months, and still have problems, let your dr know. there is not one pill that is right for every woman. you may have to try different ones until you find one that works for you

For one, it takes a few months for the BC to be steady with working.
Your body has to get used to it. And the spotting is probably from you taking them late. Thats what happens to me if I take them late

Just remember to take the same time each and every day.
And the sooner you are staying on track with your pills the sooner it will become steady
