Would taking birth control pills stop my period right when it started?

How would it stop it?

Would i have to take it and then miss it and then take again or would i have to just take it and miss it the next day?

i've heard it does stop but im not sure.please help as soon as possible.

Birth controls have 3-3 1/2 weeks of active pills. And a few days to a week of "sugar" pills. During the days you take the sugar pills, you get your period. Youre still protected from pregnancy during these days...the sugar pills are more or less to keep you remembering to take your pill.

Skipping periods is not bad for you.

To skip it, all you need to do is:
On the last day of your active pills, throw away the sugar pills, and immediately start on the active pills of the next pack! You will skip your period until the next month.

You take it but you just skip the sugar pills every month.

The pill does stop your period and the sugar pills sort of give you a fake period every month.

However please consult your doctor about skipping your periods as it is unhealthy and your doctor will probably advise you to at least have 3 periods a year.
