What happened if you take birth control pills whilst your pregnant?

What happened if you take birth control pills whilst your pregnant?

does it do anything to the baby? or ... anything?

thanx

It hasn't been proven to cause birth defects or miscarriage or anything, but it's not recommended to take them anyway. The effect depends how far along you are. Normally if it's just for a few weeks in the early days, there will be no noticeable harm.

Also it depends on the type of pill. Some cause more problems than others. For example Diane 35 has an anti-androgen hormone in it which can cause problems with the development of genitals in baby boys if taken after the first few weeks.

I concieved while on the pill - and im now 38weeks pregnant with a healthy baby girl.

If you suspect you are pregnant you should stop taking your pill to be on the safe side. Taking a birth control pill to "kill" a current pregnancy will not work.

Make sure you read the leaflet that comes with your pills - it will answer your questions

do not! it will not stop the baby from being born, but it will mess up the babys groth, and cause defects.

you would have to read the insert that comes with the pills or consult a pharmacist, not every pill is the same

my friend did this cause she wanted to miscarry( i begged her not to but she still did) and she did.

Its a good bet your hormones would be even more ****** up.

Don't try it.
