Is it true that you can take multiple birth control pills to work like the morning after pill?

My friend told me that and i don't really believe it so i thought i would ask all of you.

I've heard that before, but I have no idea whether that's true. If you need the morning after pill, then just go get it. it's OTC now.

to the person that just shat out their mouth that 3 birth control pills is equal to a morning after pill, go to sleep.

no. it is not safe and will not act like a morning after pill. it doesnt work like that, thats what retards think will happen if they forget to take it one week then take 7 at a time and think its ok.
If this method worked, there wouldnt be anything called the morning after pill

dont do it

Yes you can, your friend is correct, but I cannot remember how many or what amount (grams) of active ingredient you need to take for it to be effective..the information here about purchase and availabilty of the morning after pill is specific to Australia...but the other info is valid worldwide. It mentions the dose of progestogen needed to stop a pregnancy.

Yes, my doctor presribed them for me as a morning after pill when I was quite young and didn't want to embarass me. The dosage is less though, so you take a few and then a few 12 hours later.
Don't do this without talking to your doctor first. The dose and type of pill have to be right.

Yes, though the number of birth control pills you would need to take depends on the brand. This site contains a chart with some common pill brands and how many pills you would need to take for emergency contraception and when. http://www.fwhc.org/birth-control/ecinfo...

there are certain birth control pills that can be taken as a form of morning after pill but u have to check the names online but its better to use take morning after pill...but if the name is not listed in the list of pills that can be taken as morning after pill then it wont work
