Is it better to start birth control pills after period or start at any time?

Ok so I just had my period, and I just got my prescription picked up. Should I wait until my next period (Sunday start) or start them any time? My dr. said I could start any time, but I've never done that before and it seems weird. Thanks.

You can start whenever. If you do not start on the first day of your period, just use back-up for the first 7 days.

Its more natural for your body and also it means you probably wont ever get your period over the weekends!
