Why do Jehovah's Witnesses REALLY avoid blood transfusions? |
Jewish doctrine allows blood transfusions if it is necessary to save a life. The book of Acts does not mention blood transfusions, since they were around 1900 years away. Why can't they separate the eating of blood for the transfusing of it? smiling jw & mia-citing watchtower links is about as useful as citing Mein kampf to prove that Jews are no good. Either provide independent links that back up your highly dubious claims or don't bother. I like that ham sandwich analogy. It's like a guy who refuses to eat them, but has no problem with eating all of the ingredients separately. If you are eating blood, aren't you taking it in as sustenance? Even before I studied the bible, the blood transfusion made me physically ill. Why would it mean so much to you for me to take in someone else's tainted and dirty blood? Drive by a blood donation place on a day when they are taking in donors - would you really take a blood donation from any of those people lined up out in the street? Why when it is so unnecessary would anyone want that to be put in their own body? They now have volume expanders that carry more oxygen than any blood (thanks to some forward thinking scientists who developed this). Aside from the bible verse which condemns this, there is so much out there that puts blood transfusions back in the days of old fashioned medicine, please allow Jehovah's Witnesses and anyone else who considers their body to be a valuable gift to refrain from someone elses filthy blood. Blood is sacred to God. Jehovah's Witnesses do not accept blood transfusions because it is an obedience of God that the apostle Paul relayed to Christians in Acts 15:28-29 Because the bible says not to eat blood. They do not understand that this means exactly what it say. Do not eat blood. If you have a steak that is medium rare with blod dripping, This is eating blood. They take this scripture for do not get a blood transfusion. The bible says nothing about blood transfusions, however it does tell you that the blood is the life. So if you drain the blood out of a human body that is alive, that person will shorly die after all the blood is out of his body. Even if I stopped being a Witness, I would still abstain from blood. By most doctors, bloodless medicine is the preferred method because it is much safer than receiving blood. There is now many no-blood hospitals. I don't know. Find out first why the Jewish allows it. There is a reason for everything. What do they do with the blood. The Jews may have prepared it in order to make it safe for use (example: sterilization). What if the blood is used and it killed instead of healed? What did Jesus say about it? Well forget that question. In those days and times there was no such thing as transfusion. I really think in those days if a person is losing a lot of blood and their heart couldn't keep up on the demand for more blood; sad to say they did die. simple logical process. LAWSUITS. the wBS is in quite a pickle. They don't even have a Governing Body anymore but a group of Lawyers now. Changing the blood edict leaves them open to multimillion dollars in law suits from survivors of lost loved ones. Acts 15:8,9 They don't want another persons blood running through their veins, or anyone else's organs. They want to die as they were born. Because they think they're the ones who are interpreting scripture correctly. Because their WTBS organization misunderstand the Old Testament kosher laws Jehovah's Witnesses can have blood transfusions. Just in parts. They are forbidden to do jumping jacks or jump rope after that because if the blood mixes it is a sin JW is a cult. there a weired bunch! |
