Why would you have a blood transfusion?

To replace blood loss. If you lost too much blood, without a transfusion you would die. It does not matter how much some religions try and brainwash you to think otherwise, nothing will change this FACT.

Whats a matter with him below? A year later, two years later (??)...if you lose too much blood and you don't replace it then and there you will die within hours! There is no other time for any other treatment, blood has to be replaced immediately.

Are you JW? OMG I remember this story Dr Frank told me about this JW women who went into labour and there were complications- the bleeding point couldn't be located and she urgently needed a blood transfusion. Of course it's forbidden in JW land so this women was essentially bleeding to death and her husband pressured her to say no to the transfusion. The woman was almost agreeing with the medics because she could see she was fast fading and her kid would be left without a mother.

So the father summoned the rest of the cult over from Kingdom Hall and they came into the hospital and started yelling at this women (who was dying and bleeding to death) telling her she was a terrible person if she agreed to the transfusion. Dr Frank said it was the most barbaric thing he had ever witnessed. In the end (thankfully) the women gave in and had the transfusion and of course her life was saved. Her husband and the clan said they wanted nothing more to do with her and left the hospital.

No, not for me...it's not even 70% safe plus you will go against God's commandment. God is clear on taking blood into one's body, he said "abstaining" from blood. That include both taking by mouth or by transfusion. If we die of obedient, we get resurrection. If we die of disobedient, we lost both our lives and God (no resurrection).

To replace lost blood caused by injury or during blood loss thru surgery?
