Chemistry and Breast Cancer?

I have to pick a medical show and write a paper about an illness and explain why/how chemistry was used to solve the problem.
I decided to pick Nip/Tuck's episode of when Christian begins chemotherapy.
Can anyone help me?

As far as I know people are still DYING from CANCER.

Chemistry has not solved the Cancer Question.

Although Chemo can be pretty horrible, there are great strides, and side effects are lessening.

Perhaps you might think of the theme of how drug companies are making a fortune out of these drugs (and as a cancer patient I have NO quarrel with that - they need to pay for the massive amount of research), but I would like them to donate just a tiny percentage of their profits towards finding ways of handling side effects.

There is more info about side effects on www.after-cancer.com Although it is based on hormonal drugs (which usually come after chemo) all drugs have same side effects. If you want to use any of the material feel free to do so.
