Is it possible for a 11yr old to get breast cancer? |
I Know it may be unlikely but i am a yr6 pupil and i am a size 28b i know it is highly unlikely but who was the youngest person diagnosed with breast cancer? You have a better chance of being hit by lightening than you do getting breast cancer. I have seen 2 cases of breast cancer in a person in their 20s and I work for 7 hospitals and know of no one who has ever seen a teenager with breast cancer. Breast cancer is affected by hormones and you need to go through puberty to have enough of them to affect anything. Yes it is possible, but unlikely. Breast Cancer can only happen once you are through puberty because it is then you have fully produced all the hormones needed. It is possible as others have said but extremely unlikely. Odds are something like one in 10 million. At 11 you are not yet through puberty, and therefore your body doesn't produce enough hormones to trigger breast cancer yet. My guess is that you are in a growth spurt. If you are worried I would suggest you talk to your parents or caregiver. They will take you to a doctor or breast clinic. If at 11 you are diagnosed with breast cancer, the people from Guinness Book of World Records will come calling. I hate these COULD, POSSIBLY,MAYBE type requests.A thing only needs to happen once to prove that it is possible, so lets say that a girl of 11 years is very very unlikely to get Any sort of cancer.Any doctor will tell you that worrying about things like that drains your energy.but do check your self often to feel any changes, especially in your breasts. If you are still concerned do go get a PROFESSIONAL opinion.GOOD LUCK. Yes it is possible for a 11 year old to get breast cancer. But are you sure it is cancer? What does it look like? Have you told and adult? The best person to ask would be a doctor. Talk to your Mom and ask her to take you. but remember, men get brest cancer so i suppose anyone can get it. i have no idea. sorry x x Yeah it's possible, talk to your parents. x you need to be 13 to use this site! |
