Why does advanced age increase the risk of breast cancer?

Why do the following risks increase your chance?
Having kids late/or none at all
Being born in North America or Northern Europe
Being white
Being overweight
What are other risk factors and why does that increase your risk?

I have attached a link to a reputable site that lists risk factors and why they are risk factors.

Hope this helps in your research.

Age is a risk factor for most cancers. It only seems logical for it to work this way as we get older we don鈥檛 see as well, hear as well, run as fast, heal as fast, etc. etc. as we used to. Things wear out and break down. Weight and where you were born are not risk factors for breast cancer. Going through menopause after 55 or starting your period before 12 are risk factors. Women who were on HRT are at a higher risk. Alcohol. Radiation exposure. Thyroid cancer. Cowden鈥檚 syndrome are all risk factors. In many of these cases the risk is increased because breast cancer is hormone related.

Because as you get older, your immune system weakens and is less efficient, so you are more prone to diseases, etc.
