I am looking for a surgeon for post mastectomy IGAP breast reconstruction? |
I don't mind where i the country must travel to, the surgeon must not be Miss Elaine Sassoon of the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, nor Mr Ramakrishna of the Broomfield of Chelmsford in Essex. I cannot afford to go privately, but my PCT has already agreed to pay for me to go out of area, getting pretty desperate as I have been waiting for over 3 years. I wouldn't think this would be the venue to get a name for a surgeon to do that.....you want a word of mouth kind of referral. I'd go on one of the message boards for post mastectomy issues and there should be a lot of women who can help you find someone they have used and are happy with the results. Source(s): RN http://www.breasthealthonline.com... Check that site for some recommendations. And also look at http://www.locateadoc.com As well as your health directory listing. my friend had hers done in dundee really great job and best of treatment I had breast reconstruction and I went to a doctor at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. His name is Dr. Newton. He is the top doctor in this area for breast reconstruction. Insurance totally covered the costs. He is very nice and down to earth. And very good at his job!! I would highly recommend him. E-mail me if you would like his number. |
