Breast reduction or even removal? |
i have really big breasts and at only 15 i am bigger than a 32 dd and am looking into the cost/procedure for this sort of thing for when i am older. I would like if possible to get down to an a or b, but anything smaller is great, I'm really into sports and they just limit me in so many ways like shoulder pads in hockey not fitting good, bouncing/pain, and other things. so what do you think? Is there some way to just get my breasts removed altogether? Reductions can be covered by insurance if you have back pain. If it is very severe now, you can look into getting a reduction now (plenty of 15 year olds get reductions). in a breast reduction, your breast cannot be completely removed unless you are having a mascetomy. the surgeon will make you proportional to your frame or a little smaller or bigger depending what you want. i am a 32E and am having surgery next month. I told my doctor that I would like to be a C. I am 27 now and have had to wear a bra since I was 10 years old. I fought with 2 different insurance companies, but my new insurance at my new job is covering it 100%. I would recommend you make an appointment with a surgeon for a consultation and talk about your options. I feel your pain. I am very active in sports and though uncomfortable, I don't let them get in the weigh. I wear 2 sports bras and sometimes another super tight tank top overtop for support. I used to joke to my mom that I would just like to duct tape them down so they would stay put. But I know the surgery will be the best option for me. Good luck! Well, breast reduction is an option, I'm not sure you'd find a doctor willing to completely remove your breasts, but I'm sure you could request they make them as small as possible. This surgery is generally not recommended until you're done developing, so you have a couple of years. I had a friend who had it done, and she was very happy with the results. Whatever you decide, good luck to you! you've got a good chance of getting a reduction on the nhs, im 13 and have just had one and i feel so much better already. go to your gp and you will be referred to a plastic surgeon. you might have to see a physcotherapist to check you have realistic expectations - if you say you want to be an A or a B they would probably turn you down, im not sure though it depends on your frame and stuff. You do not want to remove your breasts completely! I can see how large breasts can be a problem on your back. You should look into breast reduction, a lot of girls get it done. Breast reduction is a very common procedure. My aunt had it done and she was very pleased with the results. breast reduction is common but removal may be a little too far |
